The 2025 Apple MacBook Air is now 25% off on Amazon ahead of Black Friday.
Take $250 off Apple’s latest model of the Air.
This is the lowest price we’ve seen since it was released back in March.
Don’t look now, but the 2025 MacBook Air—which features a powerful M4 chip and is comparable in speed and function to Apple’s high-octane mainline Pro series—is now on sale for , and it’s officially at the lowest price we’ve ever seen. Apple’s latest iteration of its sleek, cost-effective MacBook Air line was released back in March and was discounted by a hefty $200 during October’s Prime Day. Amazon, though, has apparently upped the ante ahead of Black Friday, offering another $50 of unheard-of savings.
Lowest Price Ever Apple 2025 MacBook Air 13-inch Laptop with M4 chip Now 25% Off $999 $750 at Amazon $999 $899 at Walmart Chip Apple M4 chip (10-core CPU, up to 10-core GPU), Neural Engine Display 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display Memory Up to 32 GB of RAM, up to 2TB SSD Connectivity Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 Other 12-megapixel camera with Center Stage, Four-speaker audio setup
It’s not often Apple significantly discounts a new piece of hardware less than nine months after its initial release, so 25 percent savings feels even more substantial. Our shock is bolstered by the fact that it was $50 more expensive during this year’s October Prime Day event, where it was one of Amazon’s top sellers over the full four-day stretch.
The latest MacBook Air compares favorably to its traditionally heavier-equipped, spec-heavy MacBook Pro counterpart, which is typically a few hundred dollars more for even the older entry-level options. The new M4 chip brings unprecedented power and speed to the slimmer, simpler MacBook Air line, which is geared more towards students and recreationalists seeking a more streamlined laptop for everyday use. The 2025 MacBook Air, though, seems to bridge the gap between the upgraded Pro and the minimalist Air series.
Senior Tech Editor Stefan Vazharov has been testing MacBooks since 2018, and he confirmed that the latest version of the Air lived up to its billing as a powerful, yet cost-effective alternative to the MacBook Pro.
“By offering meaningful hardware updates, uncompromising power, and industry-leading charging freedom at a lower price, the M4-packing MacBook Air is, incredibly, an even more appealing buy than past releases,” Vazharov explained. “If you are on the market for an everyday laptop with a budget that hovers around $1,000, this is the one to get. I’d take it over any PC and Chromebook rival in this price range.”
Vazharov initially recommended the entry-level 13.6-inch at $1,000, noting its exceptional value for a newly released MacBook. And for further context, the 2025 device is almost $500 less than last year's M3-equipped 2024 MacBook Air. He also noted that Apple hasn’t released a new MacBook Air under $1,000 since the previous Intel-based model, introduced almost five years ago. Considering we're still less than nine months removed from its launch, and you can now nab one for just under $750, we'd certainly file this under the umbrella of a “can’t-miss deal.” And with Black Friday right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be any better.
